Luke 16:1-13 -- COMMISSION: BEING RESOURCE FULL!

Rev. Richard Bodini - March 3, 2019

There are several really challenging parables that Jesus tells. This is one of them. What do we do with this dishonest/shrewd/praised/fired manager? How do we take, first how do we find what positive thing Jesus is saying, and apply it to our lives? What are we learning as part of our com-mission with God as His stewards in this world? The Lord Jesus Christ has prepared his Table for all who love him and trust in him for their salvation. All who are truly sorry for their sin, who sincerely believe in the Lord Jesus as their Saviour, who desire to live in obedience to him, and who are members in good standing in a Christian church are invited to celebrate this holy meal.

This morning’s text brings us to the Last Supper and Jesus offering the cup to His disciples. There are many things that this cup brings to and for us.

Luke 21:5-38 -- THE BEAUTY AND AWE OF THE TEMPLE

Rev. Richard Bodini - March 17, 2019

Jesus speaks of the temple’s destruction and the persecution of those who follow Him. Then He moves to the signs of the end times. Finally, He urges those who would remain with Him to be watchful and to pray for help and strength. Why do we remain with Jesus? Why do we choose to follow His teaching? Especially in the face of such hardship.

Matthew 26:36-46 -- THE GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE

Rev. Richard Bodini - March 24, 2019

So often we take things at face value. There is something about the garden called Gethsemane that has always been challenging. I’m a picture person. So I recall the pictures I grew up on of the garden. They didn’t jive with what I witnessed in Jerusalem. Not much did. The garden was difficult for Jesus… on many different levels. What was it for Him and the disciples? What does it mean for us?

THE GEOGRAPHY OF JESUS’ PASSION

Rev. Richard Bodini - March 31, 2019

Not many of us will ever travel to Jerusalem. This morning we will take a 2D journey into the city in which Jesus traveled and died. Our goal is to walk with Him during Holy Week to the cross. The geography of Jerusalem is important to the stories of the gospels. The journey of Jesus is an invitation for us to walk with our Saviour.
